About the District
The Audubon Public School District is located in the Borough of Audubon in Camden County, New Jersey. The area that was to become Audubon was initially settled in the late 17th Century and was primarily used for farming and milling. Audubon is a prime location with its quick access to public and private transportation and its proximity to Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New York. Audubon is the home of three Medal of Honor recipients, the most awarded per capita of any town in the United States; the three are honored by a memorial at the Audubon Junior-Senior High School. The District’s and Community's motto of Pride and Excellence is exhibited in our focus on academic, artistic, athletic, civic, and charitable work.
In partnership with our students, families, and communities, the Audubon Public Schools educates all students by providing motivating and challenging learning experiences embedded in technology that prepare them to achieve the New Jersey Student Learning Standards at all grade levels, in a safe setting of mutual respect, in order to develop ethical, productive citizens who will contribute to the local and global community.
Students in Audubon attend one of our four comprehensive schools. The Audubon Park Preschool (Mascot - Bee) serves approximately 66 students in four full-day combined three and four year old inclusive preschool classes. The Haviland Avenue Elementary School (Mascot - Hornet) serves approximately 333 students in kindergarten through second grade. The Mansion Avenue Elementary School (Mascot - Mountain Lion) serves approximately 444 students in third through sixth grade. The Audubon-Junior Senior High School (Mascot - Green Wave) serves approximately 777 students in grades seventh through twelfth grade.
Students from Audubon Park attend the district’s schools as part of a sending/receiving relationship established in 1979. Students from the Mount Ephraim Public Schools participate in a sending/receiving relationship starting in ninth grade. The Junior-Senior High School offers 105 CHOICE seats for students from outside the district in seventh through twelfth grade; this infusion of students diversifies and enriches our student population while supporting additional programs and courses for the full student population.
We appreciate your interest in our District and welcome you to become a part of our family.
